~Saving money & having summer fun~
It’s summertime and school is out for most. Mine are still in pre-school ages so we will be taking summer break together. This means…lot’s of planning to do on my part. Scheduling your day is the best way to save money and get the most out of your day. When I first started out as a stay at home mommy, all I knew was working in my profession and that’s what I did. I literally have my schedule on the frig & my phone to remind me what I need to accomplish everyday. It’s easy to get de-railed (especially with small ones, they tend to sometimes call the shots).
The reason successful businesses do well is because of detailed planning. Of course plans can change but it’s a good idea to have a plan and then a couple of backups.
So…our summer plan. I’ve had to switch gears a bit and schedule more time with the little bumpkins. This means altering time that I work on my blog so that I can fit everything I need to accomplish in a day. And no it doesn’t always happen but I try.
My routine:
Monday – Linen, dust/vacuum, laundry (plan activities for kids & or help with cleaning)
Wednesday – vacuum, laundry, bathrooms (plan activities for kids & or help with cleaning)
Friday – vacuum, weekend plan, iron (plan activities for kids & or help with cleaning)
Tuesday – No chores outside play day with kids
Thursday – No chores, errands & play day with kids
Saturday – Play & clean with family (this is truly the best day of the week for me)
Sunday – No chores Family Time
This is a rough idea of what I like to accomplish every week. Does it change? Of course it does, I have little ones. But with a plan I can get back on track and hopefully not stray to far.
